Dopo un giro per la spiaggia di Watamu, vi porto alla scoperta del SettemariClub Garoda Resort ! Il villaggio, come vi ho anticipato, è situato all'interno del Parco Marino di Watamu, protetto dal WWF, ed è composto da 141 camere in stile caatteristico, situate in villette e bungalow su due piani. All'interno del villaggio si trovano due piscine: una nella zona relax, dove c'è anche una vasca idromassaggio jacuzzi, e l'altra nella parte principale del villaggio dove si svolgono tutte le attività dell'animazione, e dove si trova il bar centrale. Il ristorante su due piani, situato nella zona piscina, offre un ricco buffet di primi, secondi e dolci tutti cucinati da cuochi locali, che una volta alla settimana propongono un menù tipico kenyota. Sempre girando nel villagio si trovano la sala tv, la boutique dove si posso trovare souvenir per tutti i gusti, il banco informazioni Settemari e il banco di Kudu Safari, l'agenzia che organizza splendidi safari nella savana dei parchi Tsavo, Masai Mara e Amboseli, oltre che escursioni giornaliere come a Malindi, il safari blu e molte altre. Alle 17 viene servito a tutti il thè accompagnato da biscotti e crepes presso il teatro che alla sera diventa il luogo di ritrovo per grandi e piccoli dove lo staff dell'animazione intrattiene gli ospiti con spettacoli, giochi e serata africane con i Masai del posto.
